Although the White House insists President Bush never met Jack Abramoff -- except maybe at large gatherings -- the Texas Observer reports that in May 2001, Abramoff "charged two of his clients $25,000 for a White House lunch date and a meeting with the President."I'd pay $25k to never have to see his sneering mug again. He can go clear brush in Crawford to his heart's content, and I'll just stay out of Texas.
