The AP reports that Iraqi have kidnapped 150+ foreigners in their “campaign to drive out coalition forces and hamper reconstruction.” The story lists the fates of some of these hostages in categories such as “Held Hostage,” “Hostages Killed,” “Escaped Hostages,” “Hostages Freed or Rescued,” and “Missing in Iraq.”
You’re right, Mr. President. We are about to turn a corner in Iraq—a corner around which there are masked extremists waiting to snatch us, tie us up, film us, and cut our heads off.
Okay, maybe I am being a little unfair. After all, waging an illegal war is hard work.
