We are in a truly remarkable moment that a sitting senator has launched a petition asking for the Attorney General to resign. And it's gotten comparatively little notice. And no serious person believes it's wildly out of line.
If anything, Senator Booker will be accused of not doing enough, despite the fact that this would have been almost unthinkable a few years ago.
It's just another day in America now.
That's what I mean when I say that Donald Trump has so severely shifted our sense of what's normal in two years that much of the damage he's done will be irreparable.
We have become inured to the unfathomable.
