What the F#@k Is Even Happening

There's a big piece in today's New York Times about how the New York attorney general's office has started a new inquiry into Donald Trump's business borrowing with Deutsche Bank and his failed bid to buy the Buffalo Bills in 2014.

Everyone seems to be very excited about it, but I'm like WHUT.

We've known about Trump's shady dealings with Deutsche Bank for years. I cannot understand why on earth the NY AG would only be opening that inquiry now — no less as a civil case rather than a criminal one.

The explanation offered is: "The new inquiry, by the office of the attorney general, Letitia James, was prompted by the congressional testimony last month of Michael D. Cohen."

But, again, the Trump Organization's curious relationship with Deutsche Bank, which kept lending to him when no other lender would, has been public for a very long time.

This doesn't make any sense.
