Abortion and the Boston Bombings

[CN: Hostility to agency, terrorism.]

Q: Is there anything that some anti-choice ass can't tie to abortion?

A: No. At least not if you're Boston's archbishop Cardinal O'Malley:

After reflecting on aspects of the lives of the Tsarnaev brothers that have been reported, O’Malley said that the “individualism and alienation of our age has spawned a culture of death.” He decried actions that “have coarsened us and made us more insensitive to the pain and suffering of others,” citing abortion as “just one indication of how human life has been devalued," as well as violence in entertainment.

I'm guessing the Cardinal doesn't mean, by invoking abortion as an example of how life has been devalued, all the ways his shitty rhetoric encourages people to think of uterus-havers as less valuable than fertilized eggs, embryos, and fetusus. I'm guessing that he doesn't consider it "devaluing" human life when a person's right to control their own body is legislated away.

By the way, Cardinal O'Malley, there IS violence and terrorism tied directly to abortion. The bombing of abortion clinics, for example. Please make a note of it.
