One: The number of inches away from war we are "almost every day" in the region around North Korea, according to Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta.
I would have thought the US had lost its taste for war, after a decade of the stuff and the resultant broken lives and crushing debt, but nope! Nary a day goes by when I don't hear about the imminence of war with North Korea or Iran.
Which is to say nothing of the secret little drone wars we're fighting all over the place, with precious little oversight, transparency, or public discussion.
