Palin: Out

On her way out the door this weekend, now-former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin took a rather peculiar swipe at the media:
"You represent what could and should be a respected, honest profession that could and should be a cornerstone of our democracy," she said. "Democracy depends on you, and that is why-that's why our troops are willing to die for you. So how about in honor of the American soldier, you quit makin' things up."
Not that she's wrong, but: A) It's something that could be directed at politicians, too; and B) Particularly politicians of her own party.

It's especially rich to hear the woman who spent the final weeks of the last presidential campaign accusing her opponent of "palling around" with terrorists lecture the media about "makin' things up."

Physician, heal thyself.
