Random YouTubery: Mozart's Violin Concerto No. 5

Something just came up on my iTunes that I want to share: Leonidas Kavakos and the Camerata Salzburg playing Mozart's Violin Concerto No. 5 in A Major, the "Turkish", K. 219. This concerto is one of the most joyful pieces of music ever written. So for those who are celebrating today, and especially for those who could use some joy, here is the Allegro Aperto:

Bonus: when I went to YouTube to search for the above clip, one of the top hits for this concerto was a performance by Dutch violinist Janine Jansen (music starts automatically at link) with the EU Youth Orchestra conducted by Vladimir Ashkenazy. They are just wonderful. Ms. Jansen's approach to the piece is very different from Mr. Kavakos's, so check it out. Thanks to Shaker Oddjob for bringing Ms. Jansen to my attention. I'll be following her work from now on.
