Dateline: America, 2001. I read over at
Jill's place that American flight schools have granted FAA certifications to
thousands of foreign student pilots who have not been given the requisite background check by the TSA and do not have the specific type of visa required to enroll and obtain pilot licenses. Muses Jill, cynically: "It's almost enough to make you think they want another terrorist attack to take place, like maybe…right before the election?"
Heh heh, thought I.
All we need now is a sequel to the Summer of the Shark to really lull us back into the false sense of security paradoxically created by remote and hyperbolic terrors.
