A couple of times recently, Mr. Shakes and I have sat down to watch a movie that one of us loved loved loved as a kid and that the other hadn't seen, only to realize that a film once adored in childhood was actually utter crap.
Most hold up well. Both of us loved Goonies as kids, and the Indiana Jones trilogy, and, of course, Star Wars et al, all of which are still loads of fun to watch today, among others.
Are there any movies you loved as a kid that have lost their luster when viewed through adult eyes? Any that you loved then and still do?
