AP story here (accompanied by photo slide show of Cindy’s vigil). I think it comes off as quite favorable toward Cindy. The spokesdope for FreeRepublic sounds like a jerk. How can you not when you’re accusing a grieving mother of exploiting her own son’s death?
(Aside: Seriously, wingnuts—I know part of the new “conservatism” is an unyielding belief that your self-proclaimed moral superiority gives you the right to dictate how everyone else should live their lives, but you’ve really just gone over the edge, telling the mother of a fallen soldier how best to honor him. It’s none of your business, you rude assholes.)
