A few of my selfies over the last week and a half:
I was in A Mood.
In Brooklyn with Deeks for the taping of Gary Gulman's
special The Great Depresh. Eeeeee!!!
I was super prepared to see Gar. ("Vulgar Lush" is from one of his bits.)
"What are you doing?" "I'm trying to start a friction fire with your toes!"
A going-out-for-BBQ with Iain and Deeks look.
On my way out for a date with Iain.
A going to therapy look.

A few of my selfies over the last two weeks:
I took the above photo right after I accidentally put kaiser rolls in a stranger's cart at the grocery store. "That's my cart," she said. "Oh, I just thought you might want some kaiser rolls," I said. And we both totally cracked up.
Rainy day nap. Tangle of legs.
On our 17th anniversary, Iain brought me a giant, colorful,
fragrant bouquet, and I was really excited about it!
Out to lunch with a friend look.
Not a filter. A real-ass lens flare!
Anniversary dinner at Morimoto. Omg. So amazing.
Cuddle buddy.
Working.

Misogynists: Women just aren't equal to men. They just can't do the same things men can. It's science.
Women: *do the same thing men have done*
Misogynists: Eww gross. That isn't ladylike.
Rinse and repeat for fucking ever.
Am I talking about soccer? Yes! Am I talking about running for president? Yes! Am I talking about— Yes! I am talking about all the things, because misogynists run the same playbook in every goddamned situation.

A few of my selfies over the last two weeks:
Stopping to smell the roses. (They smell amazing, btw.)
At lunch with Iain. As is evident, care of my specs!
One of my favorite dinner-with-friends ensembles.
I was trying to take a picture of my fancy hair twist,
but I missed. I like this picture, though!
Date night!
Oh hello.
A ruthless reality show competition called Top Knot.
A take-the-dogs-to-the-vet look.

A few of my selfies over the last two weeks:
Probably the last chance I'll have to wear this sweater this year!
A thank-fuck-it's-Friday grin.
A honey bee in an insect skirt for her 45th birthday.
This is 45.
Weeding and planting.
(And wearing a too-big hat that I carried in my hand all the way back from Puerto Rico, because I wore it all over and didn't want to leave it behind or smash it in my bag, and I'm glad I didn't, because it is a perfect gardening hat.)
I voted!
'Twas a pink jeans day.

A few of my selfies over the last two weeks:
I love spring.
Doing some work in the garden.
On the way home from the vet with two good dogs!
In the garden. Spring spring spring!
After another long day. Every workday feels like a thousand years.
The tired has seeped to the center of my bones. Nevertheless, she persists.
A black bear and a wolf had a baby and I found her in a basket
in the river and now she protects me from monsters and vengeful gods.
In the car on the way to see The Avengers.
As you can see, I was very excited, but I hated it SORRY.

A few of my selfies over the last two weeks:
Feeling relieved that Dudley had come out of surgery fine.
At the Liberty Bell the day the Mueller report was released,
because I didn't know what else to do with myself that evening.
Two old people try to take a selfie while looking into the sun.
In the garden.
Off to therapy!
Feeling good in one of my favorite outfits.
The full outfit: I was glad to be wearing this super cute ensemble at brunch that day, not only because I feel great in it, but also because I was recognized in the wild! It's the first time I've been approached by someone in public who recognized me (other people have recognized me, but not approached me, only telling me later by email or tweet), and I feel so lucky it was someone totally lovely, with whom I hope to have tea very soon!

A few of my selfies over the last two weeks:
A cold and rainy evening out to dinner with Iain,
but I had a big, warm coat to keep me dry!
A visit from one of my besties brought the cats together again!
After Sunday brunch comes Sunday naps.
The day Sophie died. Posting this incredibly raw image was
and is difficult, but the whole point of #365feministselfie is
to document real life, and this was my reality that day.
This was all I had that day. Which is fine.
Sometimes it's all about the necklace and the pink shoes.
Protagonist of my own story.
