Breakfast with Dexter and Dougie (a month ago):

Because he's sweet like that, Iain brought me home from Scotland an Aero bar, which is a British candy bar I really like but can't easily get around here. I've been eating it like one bite a day, because it's such a rare treat. I left the 3/4 of it that's left sitting out on the end table in the living room last night, like I always do. You see where this is going...
A few minutes ago, I walked into the living room and the EMPTY WRAPPER WAS ON THE FLOOR!!! I turned around to see Zelda looking at me with a wagging tail and a grin on her face that seemed to say, "O HAI! I discovered chocolate! It is very tasty! I LOOOOOOOVE ETT! I LOVE ETT SO MUCH!"

Zelda, to our continual amusement, loves to run underneath Dudley, and, frequently, she will stand directly underneath him, with her front end poking out one side, and her back end poking out the other side, so that Dudley looks like he's got a second tail jutting out of his side.

As requested, some piccies from my blogcation. We did actually make it out of the house—we went on a great forest hike with the dogs, ate at my Iain's and my favorite restaurant, where Deeks ate the best mac and cheese he's ever had, saw Rise of the Planet of the Apes because James Franco, had lunch with Mama and Papa Shakes at a local diner whose giant mascot is a balloon-loving hobo (?), etc.—but I continually failed to bring my camera with me anywhere. Sad trombone. But here are the pictures I did take!
