Photo of the Day

image of two dolphins playfully jumping out of the water
From the Telegraph's Pictures of the Day for 12 June 2014: Dolphins leap and frolic in the Moray Firth in Scotland. The mammals, the most northerly resident bottlenose dolphins in the world, were caught on camera by wildlife snapper Andy Howard. The display is thought to be part of social bonding when two groups meet up and always occurs after feeding on the salmon that congregate trying to get back to their spawning grounds.
