The Unbearable Lightness of Blogging

This morning, Blogger unveiled the new interface for its dashboard. If you've got Gmail, you sort of have an idea of what it looks like, even if you had been reverting to the old look, because, as of today, you can't revert anymore.

I get that they were going for a "clean" look, but it's too light: The best way I can describe it is that it's not heavy enough—the elements on the pages aren't sufficiently substantial. Everything just looks like it's floating to me, and it's giving me a serious headache. I've got some kind of information processing deficit (like dyslexia, but not exactly), and the new interface is frying my brain as it tries to make sense of the screen.

I question if Google meaningfully tested this new look with people with various info processing disorders, because this seems to be a significant accessibility issue to me.

Anyway. Here's a thread for discussion about the new Blogger and/or new Gmail interface(s), if anyone wants to weigh in, pro or con.
