I Write Letters

Dear Mr. President,

I do not know what is worse? That the Washington Post has a section called Post Partisan or David Ignatius called his Op-Ed, "Obama's Sister Soulja Moment?"

Some cliches are so ingrained the next thing ya know people might start "pushing daisies."

Or wondering about that cake left in the rain.

You, President Obama, used "protecting the troops" and reversed a decision for not releasing photos of "harsh interrogation techniques" upon detainees. Former Vice-President Cheney would call that "honorable" to protect a nation.

I say reality is an evil place at times and I would like "transparency" as promised.

I can handle the truth. America can handle it.

I understand that as President of our "fair" America that you must protect, serve, and unfortunately hide the evils of this country, but your entire campaign proclaimed much more. I am not privy to the endless DOD and NSC briefings that are placed on your desk. I only hope that you, Mr. President, are as forthright as you state so eloquently.

I understand that politics is an evil game and often you have to sacrifice pawns for the greater good. Too many pawns died with the previous administration and I do not want a repeat under the guise of "national security" or another executive order proclamation. There were too many of those over the last eight years.

If our "fair" America participated in torturous acts that make us weak, then expose them. Deal with the consequences and accept.

Ridicule will occur however you play the game.

Do it honorably.

Thank you,

Petulant.
