The Word today is not good. How can Obama be for hope and change when his lawyers plead "state secrets" in court? For those who still suffer illusions, all presidents are conservative. No matter how liberal in appearance, a president will seek to conserve whatever executive powers accrue from his predecessors, no matter how dubious the arguments for those powers.
