Petulant's Pumpkin Update

Let me tell ya kittens, this seemingly daunting task is quite easy. The GINORMOUS pumpkin has thin skin and a very sharp Henckels' chef's knife cut it up very swiftly with little distress to my poor shoulder. I baked my first batch in a convection oven at 350º and it cooked within 40 minutes.

Also, it is sweeter than some of the smaller pumpkins I normally use. This baby is not "woody as fuck." YAY!

Pumpkin soup, bread, and pie forever!

I saved some of the seeds so I might have a Petulant Pumpkin Patch next year. Double YAY!

I have to continue my cooking now. Once I finish cooking, I will save some for Thanksgiving, purée the rest, and freeze in Food Saver bags.
