M. Thomas Eisenstadt - Is John McCain's new foreign policy advisor a racist, transgenderphobic, homophobic, sockpuppeting liar?

(Author's Note: When I first began investigating M. Thomas Eisenstadt, I was interested in how closely he patterned himself after Michael Eisenstadt of the Washington Institute. Let me make it perfectly clear that I now believe 100% that M.Thomas Eisenstadt is a completely different person than Michael Eisenstadt of the Washington Institute. Regardless of my thoughts on Mr. Eisenstadt's views, he is a respected foreign policy analyst and by no means has anything to do with M. Thomas Eisenstadt. View Michael Eisenstadt's bio at the Washington Institute by clicking here.

M. Thomas Eisenstadt - who is reportedly the "Liaison with the Jewish community" and "foreign policy advisor" to GOP Presidential Candidate John McCain - decided to continue his transgender-hate mongering in another blog post, titled: "Boycott NBC and its tranny sympathizers."
I warned you in my last post that Denny joining that tranny friendly lobbying firm would remind people of his past involvement with Mark Foley. And lo and behold I was right. Let Dennis deny that we grappled on his office floor after a late night appropriations vote, that he routinely gave me pointers when we passed in the halls and restrooms. So one more thing Denny. Not only is Dickstein & Shapiro tranny friendly, it counts General Electric subsidiaries as clients. Which brings me to the subject of this post, the warning my prophetic and good friend Bill O’Reilly is trying to get across to the sometimes gullible American people. Boycott NBC! …

… So I guess what I’m saying Denny is: Think twice before you join a tranny friendly, GE subsidiary-representing lobbying firm. You always struck me as having ideals and principles that you believed in and stuck to. But in this fight, you’re either with us or against us.

Now, when I saw that last line, I wondered "Who is 'Us,' anyway?" Is it John McCain and M. Thomas Eisenstadt? Is it Republicans in general? Neo-Cons? The openly transgender-phobic and homophobic?

And who the hell is this M. Thomas Eisenstadt guy? I decided to try and find out more about this star neo-con. Interestingly, my search led me to The Washington Institute for Near East Policy and Michael Eisenstadt, a senior fellow and director of its Military and Security Studies Program.

M. Thomas Eisenstadt? Michael Eisenstadt? It seemed like a pretty interesting coincidence. And they both have bios that, while different, are quite similar and don't really contradict one another.

My search then led me to one of M. Thomas' blog posts "The Gay Debate - starring Anderson Cooper."
Anderson Cooper, son to Gloria Vanderbilt and heir to the fortune I presume, showed last night that rich people with good jobs wield power. A “metrosexual” himself, Cooper managed to guide the Republican debate into a gay and lively discussion about same sex love. Should that be allowed? What if Wolf Blitzer had turned the Democratic debate into a discussion of Zionism and bar mitzvah ritual? Maybe journalists should be forced to take non-loyalty oaths, like Kennedy had to do regarding his Catholicism."
Letting Google and Technorati be my guide, I found another post titled "The Gay Debate - Starring Anderson Cooper." The link to that post? http://michaeleisenstadt.com/ (Link now dead, as are all from michaeleisenstadt.com

And the post had a slightly different ring to it:
Anderson Cooper, son to Gloria Vanderbilt and heir to their fortune I presume, showed last night that rich people with good jobs wield power. A homosexual himself, Cooper managed to guide the Republican debate into a gay and lively discussion about same sex love. Should that be allowed? Michael Eisenstadt is the author of such foreign policy works as: Iran's Nuclear ambitions & U.S. options and numerous other neo-con-inspired foreign policy articles.

M. Thomas Eisenstadt is the author of such works as In Defense of Plagiarism: Why Tim Goeglein Got Thrown Under the Bus, Boycott NBC and its Tranny Sympathizers, Shame on Dennis Hastert for joining tranny lobbyist firm and "From Dave Chappelle to MLK:"
"Am I the only one to notice that at the beginning of this campaign Barack sounded like Dave Chappelle imitating a white person and now he sounds like Martin Luther King?" wrote Eisenstadt.
Oh yeah, and it appears that M. Thomas may also be a sockpuppet named Eli Perle.

You see, Eli Perle wrote endless comments on posts linking to posts by Michael Eisenstadt.

Eli Perle, you see, once "worked" for Eisenstadt, before taking a job with "Provocation Entertainment," leading to a heartfelt goodbye post from Eisenstadt. Perle was replaced by Poppy Cartwright and Jimmy Havermayer, two hard-working young men known solely for being mentioned in said goodbye post.

You may also have heard of Provocation Entertainment, which zoomed into the public eye as the company that hired Eli Perle.

The only other person on the planet that talks about Provocation Entertainment is someone named "Ronald" who has on occasion showed up on comments in posts such as this one at Crooks and Liars:

I hear Provocation Entertainment is doing a film about Blondie’s life. A music video director who used to work with Blondie is supposed to direct. Sounds interesting.
Interestingly, you'll see on the post that "Ronald" links himself to this sexist, homophobic, racist and stupid YouTube Video:

These videos were the viral rage of the moment approximately a year ago. Interestingly, M. Thomas Eisenstadt wrote about these videos in a post titled "The Arrogance of Inevitability: McCain's Victory Due to Giuliani's Missteps."

Maybe it's just me, but I find the connection kind of interesting. I'm not implying anything of course, but wouldn't it be interesting if a guy who worked for Giuliani, helped sabotage Giuliani, then went to work for McCain? Just thinking out loud, that's all.

Anyway, on a Google search, taking out the names "Eli Perle" and "Ronald" it's quite easy to see that there is no such place as Provocation Entertainment.

Another apparent sockpuppet of Eisenstadt is a commenter going by the name of frnke_Rev who has posted comments on Wall Street Journal blog posts:

McCain’s judgment about Middle East issues SHOULD be in doubt. When he brings in neo-con idiots like M. Thomas Eisenstadt (http://www.eisenstadtgroup.com says he’s working for McCain now) to replace some of his recently departed lobbyist friends as an "advisor" and "liason" with the Jewish community, you really have to wonder.
and:
Charlie Black is nothing as a lobbyist. From what I hear, it’s firms like Dickstein, Shapiro - or worse, rogue lobbyists like Stanley Rubin (loosely affiliated with The Harding Institute for Freedom and Democracy) who somehow evade reporting requirements while they’re out there pushing on behalf of the government of Sudan and Myanmar. Rubin and, undoubtedly, his crony M. Thomas Eisenstadt are the real ones to worry about.
These two, comments were posted five minutes apart from one another on May 30.

M. Thomas Eisenstadt - who again, has written that he works for John McCain - promotes the fact that he is the Senior Fellow at The Harding Institute for Freedom and Democracy. A quick check of the "staff" of the Harding Institute …
M. Thomas Eisenstadt - Senior Fellow

Jimmy Havermayer - Associate Fellow

Stanley Rubin - Adjunct Analyst

Marwan Al-Rahat - Research Assistant

Poppy Cartwright - Research Assistant

Advisory Board:

Clifford Harding III
Pauline Harding
Paul Horowitz
Elliot Dundee
Josiah Bush
Hershel Smith
Lois L. Marshall
Erskine Carter
… shows clear evidence that none of the people other than Eisenstadt himself actually exist.

And on the "links section," of The Harding Institute for Freedom and Democracy, one of his links goes to the Hoover Institution of Stanford, which has a link to a Washington Institute article including Michael Eisenstadt.

Another link goes out to the Middle East Forum, which features numerous articles by Michael Eisenstadt.

Another of the links goes to the American Enterprise Institute for Public Policy Research, which features literally more than 100 of Michael Eisenstadt's writings.

And finally, yet another link goes to the infamous Heritage Foundation, which also has had plenty of dealings with Michael Eisenstadt in the past.
