What is your favorite pair of shoes or what shoes do you wish you owned?
I LOVE SHOES. Right now, I only have about a hundred pairs as I discarded a bunch about two years ago. If I were a lady, I would have a serious problem as the offerings are more tantalizing. These Dior ankle boots (I refuse to call them booties.) would have me pretending I was Catherine Deneuve in The Hunger. YUMMY!
My favorite shoes are these Fluevog Swordfish Brogues from the mid/early 90s. I called them my wedding shoes as they were perfect for such occasions. Since none of my friends are getting married any time soon, I wear them to concerts, which I attend as infrequently as weddings. However, I did wear them Saturday night as I went to see Vic Chesnutt and Thee Silver Mountain Zion.
The photo is snatched from the Virtual Shoe Museum because it showcases the raised steel toe. Yes kittens, these are ass-kickers! What I would do for a second pair! Emailing Fluevog is no help either. I have since learned that when I find shoes I like, I buy two pairs.
My elderly pair are below and in great need of a polish.
