McConnell = McDufus

During a campaign stop, Senator Mitch McConnell (R-KY) made an interesting distinction when it comes to military deaths in Iraq:
Nobody is happy about losing lives but remember these are not draftees, these are full-time professional soldiers.
What kind of ass-backward statement is that? It's "better" if full-time professional soldiers get killed instead of draftees? Perhaps from McConnell's perspective it's better, because if there was a draft, the war would cease to exist.
