Just note how he used Glenn Greenwald's phrase - "For sheer deceit and propaganda, it is difficult to remember something quite this audacious and transparently false" - to outright imply that Greenwald was making any type of commentary on how the escalation of the war is improving things in Iraq.
But if you actually read Greenwald's piece, you'd see he was, in fact, referring to Pollack and O'Hanlon, and the media's insistence to make them appear as "liberals" who were anti-war all the way, up until this week. The paragraph following the one Hume quoted of Greenwald:
"As was demonstrated yesterday, O'Hanlon and Pollack were among the most voracious cheerleaders for Bush's invasion and, as the war began to collapse, among its most deceitful defenders. But it goes so far beyond that."
Fox News and Britt Hume: Purely propagandists and allies of this Neocon Administration and their plans of perpetual war and the most intellectually dishonest group of people ever seen on U.S. television.
