José, Can You See?

Think Progress informs us that contrary to the assertions of Sen. Whitey McCracker, uh, I mean, Lamar Alexander (R-Lower Dumbfuckistan) that the U.S. National Anthem has “never before…been rendered in another language", it turns out that in fact, it has. In 1919, the U.S. Department of Education released "La Bandera de las Estrellas", a Spanish language reworking of Francis Scott Key's reworking of that old English drinking song we call our national anthem.



But aside from that, this whole racist freakout about hearing the anthem in Spanish is just bullshit. The words mean the same thing translated, folks. And regardless of what Emperor Flightsuit might think, I remind you that we didn't actually invent the English language in America. It was invented in England and brought here by English-speaking immigrants.

So all this whining and bed-pissing about losing our national soul is, as usual, a load of hooey. Jesus, you freaking right-wing crybabies! Would it kill you to learn another language in between golf dates and blowjobs from that hooker MZM bought you? "But I don't want to learn another language!" you wail, "I'm scaaaaaaaared! WAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH! They should learn my language! I was born here, I don't have to change!"

People act like they accomplished something significant by being born within U.S. borders, when the only reason they're a U.S. citizen and the immigrants are not is where their fool mama was when she spread her legs and squeezed em out! Immigrants don't owe you anything, America. Why should they learn your language if you won't learn theirs?
