Hitler Couth

By now, you’ve no doubt heard that the always-pleasant and non-crazy Senator Rick Santorum recently compared the Democrats to Hitler. There’s so much hypocrisy in this turn of events, it’s hard to know where to begin, but John at Blogenlust’s got a handy recap of the Republican statements made in response to the independent ad submitted to MoveOn.org’s contest in which Bush was compared to Hitler, and The Green Knight notes:
Ten weeks ago, Rick Santorum said this:

Senator Byrd's inappropriate remarks comparing his Republican colleagues with Nazis are inexcusable....These comments lessen the credibility of the senator and the decorum of the Senate. He should retract his statement and ask for pardon.

Today, Rick Santorum said that the Democrats' use of the filibuster is

the equivalent of Adolf Hitler in 1942 saying, 'I'm in Paris. How dare you invade me. How dare you bomb my city? It's mine.'
Yeesh.
